Spotify (for artists) do not have a customer service. They have a customer DISservice.If you get flagged for "artificial streams" there is simply NO WAY to get answers from them, no way to prove you did nothing wrong and they refuse to explain exactly what proof they have.Spotify 100% discriminates against small artists and do not care AT ALL about them.
Avoid this *** company as long as you can, because they will for sure not help you if you get in trouble, even if you did nothing wrong, signed up for no external services and purchased no streams. They. Do.
Not. Care.
Spotify completely disregards small artists in a way they would never disregard well-established factors.
Cowardly hiding behind chats you will close down without giving the customer a chance to finish the conversation.
Why is there no phone number we can call? Don't dare to actually speak to your customers?
I of course know the answer: Because there is no way you can justify the way you handle small artists that are affected by your subpar algorithms and flag people for artificial streams, even when they have done no such thing.
Tell me:
- Why do you consider it okay to punish an artist for something someone else did (causing artificial streams)?
- Why is the burden of proof not on Spotify in situations where the artist gets flagged for artificial streams?
- Why is there no way for an artist to prove they did nothing wrong?
- Why can you not tell an artist exactly what they can do to be 100% sure they will not be accused of artificial streaming?
Your whole concept and business is built around leeching on artists and then you act full on arbitrarily when your artists are being treated completely unfairly.
In my case, I am battling PTSD, exhaustion, and depression and have had to put up with Spotify's arrogant and ignorant takedowns twice (!?) now.
Neither of those times did I do anything wrong. I did not sign up for any third-party services, I did not sign up for any playlist adds, etc. I just uploaded my music and left it at that so family, friends, and myself would have access to it.
Because of all this above, Spotify is right now a big contributing factor for increasing the severity of my mental health.
Even though I know you couldn't care less, that is a fact and it's on you.
I will not read any replies to this mail. If you want to give me feedback or apologize as you should, then you are welcome to give me a call.
- One and only pro is that so many people use spotify
- Hide from answering behind policies
- Do not care about small artists
- Direct you back to your distributor and vice versa

User's recommendation: If you at all can avoid it, do not use Spotify for artists. Do not upload your music there. They will flag songs for artificial streaming without you having done anything wrong. And they will take down your songs without a warning even if you contact them when/if you notice your streams looking suspicious. They just assured me everythig was Ok, and the killed the very same release a month later. When confronted they just said "we cant discuss our policies" and shut down the chat. By far the worst customer service I have ever encountered.
Account closed and keep charging
Spotify is a big, big, big thief, super thief. It's been 8 months that they keep charging me for a service I don't use.
I keep trying to do something and there's no help. I canceled in August and I have proof, and Spotify charged me again this month.
There's no phone service. I'm trying to have some help and nothing.

You have got to be either stupid or incompetent to go with spotify as your music streaming service. I will never use them again!! And I hope my reviews hurt!!!
Spotify has the most incompetent and stupid customer service agents and supervisors!! Still they are not allowing to let me speak to a manager.
And I talked to 15 different agents today alone that refused connecting me to a manager. This company is incompetent and the managers hide behind their agents so that they don't get exposed or show how incompetent they are too!!!!!
Today was the sixth time I've asked to have this issue fixed. Not in a month but in less than a week! And then when you ask to speak to a manager, they refuse to allow it and end the chat conversation! Great, customer service!!!
What is Spotify so afraid of by letting me speak to a manager? Oh, and why does Spotify not show their really bad reviews left by other people to see on their website? Why don't they have a phone number to talk to a live customer service agent? I will tell you why.
I think the upper management is just as incompetent as the customer service agents and they don't want the word getting out about it! My best advice is to use another music streaming app service. Unless you enjoy being harassed by emails and messages all the time saying they are going to close your account. According to their useless customer service agents and supervisors, this was fixed?

Spotify is such a joke, and a bad joke at that!! Use another music streaming app and avoid the BS with Spotify.

I can't even begin to express how incredibly angry I am at spotify!! I wish I could really let them have it by cussing,but then it wouldn't be posted for people to read. Over the last 4 months spotify has stolen money out of my checking account to pay for 2 other accounts that don't even belong to me!! I've contacted Karen, Mary Ann, and many more supervisors, and about 30+ customer service agents and none of them can get it right!! Stupidity runs rampant there!!
Even after I showed them my receipt that shows that I already paid for my account. I still get their idiotic messages everyday telling me that my debit card has in sufficient funds on it! No *** I'm not stupid!! And I'm not going to put funds in my account just for spotify to steal them again!!! I don't trust spotify! And neither should you.
God, I wish I could cuss in this review. It would make this so much more fun to discredit and ruin all of Spotify's claims of having great customer service!! Please take everything I've said in this review as the truth.And save yourself from the headache and their agents ability to get you so incredibly angry!!

And I've posted this on my Facebook page for my friends to re-post on all of their pages as well. This is going burn like a wild fire to spotify, because i haven't even begun yet!!

Stop charging inactive members recurring charges if no activity is seen for a maximum of 3 months. Have customer service inquire on member instead of just receiving the money without use of app.

i've been a free subscriber to spotify for many years and was considering becoming a premium member. but now that i've seen your ads recruiting ice, i no longer will support spotify in any way and have deleted your app on all my devices. as long as you support the immoral fascist regime in our government, you will not have my business!

So let's start with their names: Bharat, Joao A., Louis M., John R., Ayesha, Vin T., and Abraham A. These are all the people that refused to let me talk to a manager!
Their customer service agents are *** at best and need to be fired for treating me that way! All I asked for was one simple thing, and that was to talk to a manager, but your customer service agents refused to allow me to! Enjoy this review because there are more to come if I don't talk to a manager immediately! Spotify is a joke and a scam; they try to charge me for two accounts but wouldn't let me talk to the manager that I was told to contact if my account status wasn't fixed!
You don't care about your customers; all you do is cause more problems and don't fix anything! I even sent a screenshot for proof that I had already paid for this month, and still, I was stonewalled by your pathetic so-called customer service agents!
Spotify should be ashamed for treating their customers this way! There will be more reviews coming on different platforms to get your attention!
